Medium straw color. Apple, citrus and jasmine aromas. Stone fruit, tree fruit and citrus can all be found in the complex palate, including ripe apricot, apple and lemon. Other flavors include spice, mineral and stone. The long finish rounds out with subtle vanilla and warm oak tones.
The pursuit of Pinot perfection took us far from our California home base to the remote reaches of the South Pacific and the stunningly beautiful nation of New Zealand. We discovered a small and exceptional property along Te Muna Road, an especially remarkable terrace in the celebrated Pinot Noir village of Martinborough. Te Muna is Maori for ‘special’ or ‘secret place,’ and this Pinot Noir is the proudly bottled culmination of our lofty endeavor.
This 2010 vintage, the follow-up to our multiple champion trophy-winning inaugural release, strikes the perfect balance between New World fruit and Burgundian character, delivering outstanding elegance, balance and complexity.
